About the role
The Sales Porter is responsible for assisting the Lot Manager in maintaining dealership inventory in an orderly, efficient manner.
Responsibilities
- Places vehicles in proper inventory position as directed
- Keeps equipment in good working order
- Installs sales price mirror signs when required
- Strips all new vehicles of plastics and stickers for front lot display
- Auxiliary in physically delivering vehicles to final destination when required
- Reports all lot damage or malfunctioning of vehicles on display to supervisor
- Delivers damaged/malfunctioning vehicles to the Service Department
- Ensures vehicles within demo line are maintained in a presentable fashion; i.e., gas, cleanliness etc.
- Ensures walkways and entrances to showroom are free of debris, ice and snow at all times
- Ensures all landscape areas are free of debris, weeds, and trash at all times
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/Equivalent
- Previous experience working in dealership preferred
- Valid in-state Driver’s License and clean driving record
- Professional Appearance; excellent communication skills
