Automotive Porter

The Ford Store San Leandro is seeking dynamic, service-oriented Greeters, Valets, and Porters to create a welcoming and efficient environment for our customers. Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers dropping off vehicles for repairs.
• Deliver vehicles to sites and locations as required.
• Thoroughly clean (wash, vacuum, and polish) and maintain vehicles.
• Install disposable covers and floor mats in vehicle interiors being serviced.
• Monitor tire pressure of vehicles; add air and fuel as needed.
• Prioritize vehicles that need to be prepped for delivery or washed based on general appearance.
• Maintain internal and external appearance and cleanliness of the store, showroom, and lot.

Requirements

• At least one year of progressive work experience with a great attitude, outgoing personality, and strong work ethic.
• Ability to operate a wide variety of cars, light trucks, and vans, including manual transmission.
• Team player focused on providing exemplary customer service.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
• Professional appearance and work ethic.
• Effective interpersonal communication skills.
• At least 18 years of age with a valid in-state driver’s license.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
• Familiarity with computer systems and retail sales is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly transition between outside elements and inside air conditioning/heating.
• Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, and squatting.
• Lifting 25 to 50 lbs, reaching, and lifting overhead.
