About the role

Gill Automotive Group seeks a Parts Department Manager to lead the dealership's Parts Department at Gilroy GMC. The ideal candidate will lead the department to growth in customer service and financial performance.

Responsibilities

  • Forecast sales and profit goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them
  • Accomplish objectives through proper purchasing procedures, marketing, and advertising, and inventory control
  • Manage the parts inventory, and stock orders, and track all expenses
  • Monitor and adjust inventory to minimize obsolescence
  • Work with the Service Manager to ensure parts are in stock or ordered in a timely manner, as needed for all scheduled repairs
  • Manage department employee scheduling and attendance
  • Effectively train and supervise all parts counter associates to meet department and company goals
  • Keep up to date on manufacturer warranty, policy, and return procedures
  • Be knowledgeable and compliant with the federal, state, and local regulations regarding the shipping of hazardous materials
  • Accurately price parts and accessories using the proper pricing source and keep the computer system up to date
  • Implement & carry out safety requirements
  • Develop, enforce and monitor guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction

Qualifications

Qualified candidates must have new vehicle dealership experience in, and be able to effectively manage the following tasks:
