Key Responsibilities
- Manage the parts sales process from start to finish.
- Provide updates on parts availability and status to customers.
- Maintain professional and friendly communication with customers and staff.
- Utilize the parts catalog to accurately identify and locate necessary parts.
- Handle customer inquiries, including providing price quotes and other relevant information.
- Deliver high-level service to both internal and external customers.
- Process stock orders, including pulling and filling orders.
- Conduct weekly inventory bin checks to ensure stock accuracy.
- Inform the Parts Manager of out-of-stock parts or urgent inventory needs.
- Source out-of-stock parts from external vendors and process emergency orders when required.
- Ensure all internal parts requests are properly billed on service repair orders.
- Process retail customer payments and obtain necessary credit authorizations.
- Cook up orders for shipment, delivery, or in-store pickup.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous auto parts sales experience (preferred).
- Forklift operation experience is a plus.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to interpret technical documents such as safety rules, maintenance manuals, and procedural guides.
- Proficiency in basic mathematical calculations, including discounts, interest, and percentages.
