Automotive Mechanic Technician (2nd Shift) - Up to $6000K Bonus (A Level)

Pay

Pay Range: $21.50 – $32.50 hourly (overtime opportunity at 1.5× pay) and $1.00 shift differential. Sign‑On Bonus: $6,000 for A‑Level Technicians.

Schedule

Monday through Thursday (4‑day work week), 5:00 pm to 4:00 am. Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs.

About the role

Carvana is seeking experienced automotive mechanics with a minimum of 3 years of professional automotive repair experience to join as an Experienced Auto Technician. The role involves performing a full range of automotive repairs—from light maintenance to heavy engine work—and diagnostics on all makes and models.

Responsibilities

• Perform general to complex repairs on all makes and models, including timing belts, suspension systems, and heavy engine work.
• Diagnose and repair advanced vehicle electrical issues, including work on electric and hybrid vehicles.
• Repair wheel bearings and axles.
• Service vehicle climate‑control systems, including air‑conditioners and heater cores.
• Complete light maintenance, fluid checks, and initial inspections as needed.
• Participate in mandatory overtime to meet customer delivery commitments.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of professional automotive repair experience.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lb independently.
• At least 18 years of age and a valid driver’s license (subject to Motor Vehicle Records check).
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing production environment and tolerate extreme weather conditions.
• Use of required safety equipment (face shield or goggles, non‑slip shoes, gloves, mask, etc.).
• Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
