About the role

Entry-level position: Performs light-duty repairs on AMR fleet vehicles, assists senior mechanics, and provides logistical support as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Performs light mechanical and electrical repairs on AMR vehicles.
  • Responds to vehicle breakdowns in the field when requested.
  • Provides logistical support for the department and assists front-line mechanics as needed.
  • Operates company vehicles in accordance with company policy and safe practices.
  • Completes all required paperwork and documentation neatly, correctly, and on time using AMR repair orders.
  • Uses maintenance database to document all completed tasks/job assignments.
  • Attends all mandatory fleet-related training.
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures, including information systems security policies.
  • Ensures vehicles are repaired correctly and in a timely fashion.
  • Responds to changing departmental priorities and road call situations with quick diagnosis and repair.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work area.
  • Accurately accounts for all parts and materials.
  • Maintains good working relationships with all personnel and demonstrates professional conduct with outside contacts.
  • Exhibits excellent customer service skills.

Requirements

  • Current valid driver’s license.
  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • 1 year of verifiable line mechanic or mechanic helper/associate experience.
  • 2 ASE Certifications (Truck or Automotive series), preferably Brake and Steering/Suspension.
  • MACS AC Certification or equivalent ASE Certification.
  • Basic set of personal tools.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently or as a team member.
  • Ability to employ discretion and confidentiality in sensitive areas.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow instructions on memos, letters, various documents, and repair manuals.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Basic automotive knowledge and skills necessary to perform maintenance and repairs on company vehicles.

Pay

Starting hourly wage of $28.00 based on experience.
