About the role

The Automotive Lift Technician for Ascentek will install, inspect, and service vehicle lifts. This person will provide excellent customer service, responding to customer demand calls and performing preventative maintenance on vehicle lifts. The Lift Technician will work with mid-sized businesses and government agencies to ensure equipment is fully operational and properly maintained and will manage vehicle inventory and perform related administrative tasks which includes quoting repairs found at customer sites.

Responsibilities

  • Install and service vehicle lifts
  • Reviews customer needs and prepares quotes for repair and replacement of customer equipment
  • Drive to customer sites to troubleshoot equipment, complete inspections, perform required repairs, and answer customer questions
  • Provides excellent customer service to customers, builds rapport and maintains relationships with customers
  • Accurately log and report parts and inventory used to complete repairs
  • Interact with management and other personnel to analyze and correct any equipment performance issues
  • Follow specific preventative maintenance schedules
  • Perform preventative maintenance checks on all machine components, replacing items as needed
  • Complete field service and inspection reports

Requirements

This position will take place in an office and warehouse environment, including various customer locations. Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds independently, and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Ability to maneuver around a job site including small spaces in and around our equipment including continuous bending, kneeling, and stooping regularly. Ability to perform work in elevated spaces.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years' experience troubleshooting and maintaining lift equipment. Valid driver’s license. Ability to obtain a Health Card. Current Lift Technician Certification (or willingness to acquire).

Skills

Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Mechanical skills. Team player. Proficient in JDE, or related ERP system.
