About the role
State Technical College of Missouri is accepting applications for a full-time, 9-month annual contract, exempt, and benefit-eligible Automotive Technology Instructor position within the Automotive Technology program.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality instruction within the Automotive Technology program.
- Teaching responsibilities may include areas such as Automotive Electronics, Engines, Brake Systems, Suspension and Steering, Drivetrains and Axles, Hybrid/Electric Vehicles, and Light-Duty Diesel.
- Adequately support student learning and progression.
- Maintain strong connections to industry practices.
- Contribute to the continued success of the program.
Requirements
- 5 years work experience in the Automotive Industry, with preference given for dealership experience and current ASE certification;
- A bachelor's degree or the willingness to earn one;
- Excellent communication, computer, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior teaching or training experience;
- Five or more years of related experience in one or more of the following areas: automotive electrical/electronic systems, Electric/Hybrid, and high-performance automotive systems.
Benefits
Salary starts at $47,000 and increases depending on experience.
