Responsibilities
- Schedules preventative maintenance inspections and reviews the results
- Maintains and monitors repairs, conducts vehicle audits to ensure adherence to safety, regulatory, and appearance standards
- Analyzes equipment or vehicle system failures to determine root causes and resolve problems
- Plans and coordinates equipment repairs with internal and external groups
- Ensures adequate inventory levels (e.g., parts, tires, etc.) to support business processes
- Adheres to purchasing limits, expense approval procedures, and equipment disposal guidelines to remain within cost plan
- Reviews and approves automotive expenses
- Determines employee training needs to produce continuous development plans
- Conducts performance evaluations and resolves individual and group performance issues
Requirements
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in automotive fleet industry
- Available to work Monday- Friday – flexible based on business needs
- Flexible to work 7am-5pm – flexible based on business needs
- Flexible to travel (locally) between facilities
- Resides within the geographical area of the job – relocation not offered
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a Supervisory role – preferred
- Knowledge of mechanical fundamentals, maintenance, diagnosis, and repair to vehicle or aircraft fleet operation
- Ability to manage equipment repair and oversee the correction of problems with tools, machinery, and other standard technical equipment
- Ability to manage inspections, physical assets, and working relationships with vendors
