Automotive Finance Manager - Hilton Head Honda

Hilton Head Honda, part of Group 1 Automotive—a Fortune 250 leader in global automotive retail—is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our high-performing team.

About the Role

The Finance Manager oversees the dealership’s customer loan origination and approval process, builds lender relationships, and leads the Financial Services Department. This role ensures accurate reporting, compliance, and a positive customer experience while meeting monthly finance and insurance income targets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee dealership customer loan origination and approval process.
• Establish and maintain strong relations with lenders.
• Recruit, hire, and develop associates for the Financial Services Department.
• Maintain accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports.
• Determine customer financing needs and explore payment options.
• Build positive customer relationships while presenting products and services (warranties, credit insurance, GAP insurance, etc.).
• Secure and finalize transactions legally, ethically, and productively.
• Meet monthly forecasts for finance and insurance income, penetration levels, and customer satisfaction.
• Prepare and submit all federal, state, and dealer paperwork to the Accounting Department accurately and on time.
• Enhance customer satisfaction throughout the purchase experience.
• Supervise financial services associates to ensure individual and department goals are met.
• Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company’s Values in all interactions.

Requirements

• Automotive finance management experience.
• Proven track record of strong CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) and performance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Email, Excel, Word).
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
• High-energy personality with a great attitude.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Professional appearance and work ethic.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a process-driven environment.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree or experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license in the state of employment and a clean driving record.

Pay

$65,000 – $250,000 per year.
