Automotive Detailer - Car Washer - Massapequa

About the role

We are seeking a responsible, dedicated Automotive Detailer to join our team at 4780 Sunrise Hwy, Massapequa Park, NY 11762. This full-time position focuses on upholding the highest cleanliness standards in the industry, ensuring the health and safety of everyone by washing, cleaning, sanitizing, inspecting, and preparing a variety of vehicles for customer rentals.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interior according to industry-standard protocols
• Wash, clean, and dry the vehicle's exterior, including cars, vans, and trucks
• Inspect vehicles for cleanliness, safety, and readiness:
  • Check fuel level and warning lights
  • Inspect windshield for damage
  • Factory reset/restore vehicle settings to clear prior customer data
  • Check for customer items and place anything of value in Lost & Found
  • Verify that registration is present, current, and matches the license plate
  • Check fluid levels and add as needed
  • Inspect tire condition, pressure, and tread depth
  • Inspect vehicle exterior for damage
  • Report any warning lights, vehicle/windshield/tire damage, or safety concerns
• Fuel and stage vehicles
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area; report any unsafe or hazardous conditions
• Operate tools such as carpet shampoo machines or air purifiers to eliminate stains, pet hair, and odors
• Assist customers when needed; may transport customers to and from branches
• Maintain overall site appearance, including:
  • Cleaning desktops, countertops, phones, floors, and bathrooms
  • Vacuuming and sweeping the lot
  • Performing other miscellaneous tasks related to daily branch cleanliness
• Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training, and goal setting
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Valid, unrestricted U.S. driver's license (ability to operate a motor vehicle is essential)
• Authorized to work in the United States without requiring work authorization sponsorship
• Able to read, write, and understand English
• Living within a reasonable commute of no more than 30 minutes from the location
• At least six consecutive months of prior work or organizational experience
• At least 18 years of age

Pay

Starting rate of pay is $18.75 per hour based on a 40-hour workweek. Employees can earn yearly merit increases based on performance.

• Thursday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
