Automotive Detailer - Car Washer - Ledgewood

About the role

We are seeking responsible, dedicated Automotive Detailers to join our team in Ledgewood, NJ. This position leads our commitment to exceptional cleaning practices, exceeding standard protocols to ensure the health and safety of everyone. You will wash, clean, sanitize, inspect, and prepare a variety of vehicles—including cars, trucks, and vans—to meet high cleanliness and safety standards for customer rentals.

This position is located at 1004 Route 46 East, Ledgewood, NJ 07852.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interior according to industry-standard protocols
• Wash, clean, and dry the vehicle's exterior—including cars, vans, and trucks
• Check fuel level and warning lights; inspect windshield for damage
• Factory reset/restore vehicle settings to clear prior customer data
• Check for customer items and place anything of value in Lost & Found
• Verify that registration is present, current, and matches the license plate
• Check fluid levels and add as needed; inspect tire condition, pressure, and tread depth
• Inspect vehicle exterior for damage and report any safety concerns
• Fuel and stage vehicle; pull vehicle out of prep processing as necessary
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area; report unsafe or hazardous conditions
• Operate tools such as carpet shampoo machines or air purifiers to eliminate stains, pet hair, and odors
• Assist customers when needed; may transport customers to and from branches
• Help maintain overall site appearance, including cleaning interiors and exteriors of branch locations (e.g., desktops, countertops, phones, floors, trash, bathrooms, vacuuming, sweeping the lot)
• Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training, and goal setting
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Valid, unrestricted U.S. driver's license (ability to operate a motor vehicle is essential)
• Authorized to work in the United States without requiring work authorization sponsorship now or in the future
• Able to read, write, and understand English
• Living within a reasonable commute (no more than 1 hour) from Ledgewood, NJ
• At least six (6) consecutive months of prior work or organizational experience
• At least 18 years of age

New Jersey DMV Requirements: First-time drivers and those under 21 must complete the mandatory Graduated Driver License (GDL) program.

Pay

$17.50 per hour based on a 40-hour workweek. Employees can earn yearly merit increases based on performance.

Schedule

• Full-time: 40 hours per week (consistent schedule)
• Part-time: 25 hours per week
• Multiple schedules available
