Automotive Detailer
That’s Nice, But What’s the Job?
The Auto Detailer is responsible for tracking and monitoring the maintenance of DriveTime vehicles and making them look clean and neat. They prepare and move vehicles around the Reconditioning Center for distribution to retail. They perform tasks such as washing and buffing vehicles, performing minor paint touch-ups, vacuuming interiors, and cleaning other surfaces. They use cleaning, protective, and restorative agents to maintain and enhance the appearance of vehicles. They inspect vehicles and keep complete, accurate records of their condition. They identify and complete repairs effectively the first time to minimize rework and delays in production. They work in ways that decrease the possibility of injury to themselves or other team members in the shop due to spills or other preventable hazardous conditions. They work closely with Reconditioning Center Management to repair or reject inventory based on estimated costs of repairs and/or the overall quality of the vehicle.
