About the role

The ideal candidates will have a passion for cars and be committed to providing exceptional cleaning, polishing, and detailing services. As an Automotive Detailer, you will play a key role in ensuring that vehicles are in pristine condition, both inside and out, before delivery to customers.

Responsibilities

  • Exterior Detailing: Clean, wash, wax, and polish the exterior of vehicles, including the body, windows, tires, and rims
  • Interior Detailing: Vacuum, shampoo, and clean vehicle interiors, including seats, carpets, dashboards, and consoles
  • Surface Restoration: Remove stains, odors, and imperfections from upholstery and other interior surfaces using appropriate cleaning products and tools
  • Paint Care: Apply protective coatings and ensure proper maintenance of the vehicle's paintwork, including polishing and buffing to remove scratches or imperfections
  • Engine Bay Cleaning: Clean engine compartments, using appropriate methods and chemicals to remove grease and grime while avoiding damage to sensitive parts
  • Vehicle Preparation: Prepare vehicles for front-line sales and customer delivery, ensuring all work is completed to high standards of cleanliness and presentation
  • Marketing Preparation: Take and upload quality photographs of finished product for marketing
  • Inspection: Inspect vehicles for cleanliness, detailing quality, and any potential issues that may require attention before delivery
  • Organization and Inventory Management: Maintain and organize cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are well-stocked and in working condition
  • Collaboration: Work closely with body shop technicians and other staff to ensure a seamless workflow and excellent customer satisfaction
  • Work 4 10-hour days/week and additional hours, as needed
  • Ability to report to work as scheduled and work full scheduled hours to meet job expectations
  • Other duties, as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (for moving vehicles, as needed)
  • Prior experience in automotive detailing or car washing is a plus
  • Knowledge of automotive care products, tools, and detailing techniques
  • Ability to operate detailing equipment such as buffers, pressure washers, and vacuums
  • Ability to read instructions for cleaning equipment and use of chemicals
  • Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple vehicles in a timely manner
  • Able to communicate effectively with all team members and management
