Automotive Detail Manager in Training
Shottenkirk Chevrolet KIA of Quincy is looking for a motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented Automotive Detail Manager in Training to join our growing team in Quincy, Illinois. You’ll receive hands-on training in every aspect of managing a busy dealership detail department, including scheduling workflow, maintaining quality standards, managing supplies, and leading a team. Responsibilities
- Wash, wax, and detail new and pre-owned vehicles to dealership standards
- Thoroughly clean vehicle interiors, including carpets, upholstery, dashboards, trim, and glass
- Perform paint correction, buffing, polishing, and protective coatings as needed
- Inspect completed vehicles to ensure exceptional quality and presentation
- Prepare sold vehicles for customer delivery
- Learn to coordinate daily workflow and prioritize detailing assignments
- Assist with inventory management for detailing products and equipment
- Help train and mentor detailing team members
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Safely move vehicles throughout the dealership lot
- Support the Detail Manager with department operations, scheduling, and quality control
Requirements
- Previous automotive detailing experience preferred
- Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus, but not required
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to stand, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions

Pay
$15.00 - $18.00 per hour, based on experience
