Automotive Detailer-Trainee

About the role
As a Detailer, you will be responsible for cleaning and refurbishing vehicles to meet our company’s quality standards. This includes both the interior and exterior of vehicles, ensuring that each car is presented in pristine condition.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning, washing, waxing, and polishing of vehicle exteriors.
- Vacuum, shampoo, and clean vehicle interiors, including upholstery, carpets, and floor mats.
- Clean and polish vehicle windows, mirrors, and chrome accessories.
- Apply protective finishes to ensure a long-lasting shine and protection.
- Inspect vehicles for any noticeable defects or areas needing attention.
- Use appropriate cleaning products and tools for each task, maintaining safety and quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the detailing workspace.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and health regulations.
- Report any damage or issues to Management immediately.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client needs and ensuring satisfaction.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in automotive detailing preferred, but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for vehicle care.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Physical Requirements
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Must be capable of simple and fine motor hand manipulations.
- Work in ventilated automotive repair shops, refurbishing facilities, or outdoors.
- Ability to operate various detailing equipment and tools.
Pay
Starting compensation is expected to be $18.00 to $20.00/hour, depending on qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
