Responsibilities

  • Advanced Diagnostics & Repair: Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, drivability, and performance concerns; troubleshoot engine, transmission, steering, suspension, braking, HVAC, and electronic systems; utilize advanced diagnostic equipment, OEM service information, scan tools, and testing equipment to identify root causes; verify repairs through comprehensive testing and quality inspections
  • Modern Vehicle Technology: Diagnose and service vehicle computer systems, sensors, modules, and network communications; perform software updates, calibrations, and programming when required; stay current on hybrid, electric vehicle, and emerging automotive technologies
  • Customer & Team Support: Communicate technical findings in a way customers can easily understand; assist service advisors with accurate recommendations and repair estimates; mentor and support developing technicians, helping elevate shop performance and technical expertise
  • Quality, Safety & Productivity: Maintain high-quality workmanship while achieving productivity goals; follow all company safety procedures and manufacturer repair standards; accurately document inspections, findings, repairs, and recommendations

Qualifications

  • Required Skills: ASE Master Technician, A1 and/or Manufacturer Certified; advanced automotive diagnostic capability; strong electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills; proven engine performance and drivability diagnosis experience; proficiency using scan tools, diagnostic software, and testing equipment; ability to read wiring diagrams, OEM service information, and repair procedures; strong attention to detail and commitment to quality; excellent problem-solving skills; professional communication and customer service abilities; ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Required Qualifications: ASE Certifications (A1–A8 preferred); ASE Master Technician certification; hybrid and EV experience; advanced engine performance diagnostics experience; leadership or mentoring experience; minimum 3+ years of hands-on automotive repair experience
