Automotive Accounting Clerk - Daily Banking

About the Role

Capital Automotive Group is seeking a detail-oriented, organized Accounting Clerk (internally called “Automotive Banker”) to handle daily banking tasks in our corporate accounting office. This is a transactional, deadline-driven clerical role, not a general ledger, analyst, or controller position. Ideal for those who enjoy a consistent daily rhythm, clean numbers, and self-checking their work. No accounting degree required.

Responsibilities

• Post daily bank transactions and monthly reserve statements
• Adjust finance commissions as needed
• Issue chargeback checks to lenders and prepare chargeback reports for management
• Maintain accounting schedules and complete monthly bank reconciliations
• Complete recurring month-end reports
• Partner with accounting and finance teams to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Meet firm daily and month-end deadlines
