About the Role

TEKsystems is looking for a hands-on Systems Engineer to support enterprise server deployment and data center operations. This position will play a key role in provisioning servers, coordinating hardware installations, validating configurations, and maintaining accurate inventory and asset records. There is a possibility of a few weekend shifts (Friday night/Saturday night/Sunday, 10pm ET - 7am ET) during the year.

Responsibilities

Provision and deploy enterprise server hardware.
Perform rack, stack, cabling, and server configuration activities.
Coordinate installation efforts with vendors and local site support teams.
Track hardware inventory and maintain asset records.
Validate servers after deployment to ensure proper configuration.
Verify Configuration Items (CIs) and asset data within ServiceNow.
Support project implementation efforts and deployment schedules.

Skills

ServiceNow experience.
Server provisioning and deployment experience.
Server rack and stack experience.
Hardware inventory management and asset tracking.
Data center operations support experience.
Project coordination or project management experience.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Plano, TX. It is a hybrid role.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00/hr. Individual compensation offered within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
