Automation tester

About the Role

This is a 12-month contract position located in Santa Fe, NM.

Responsibilities

• Perform all phases of testing: System, Integration, Regression, User Acceptance, and Performance Testing.
• Develop testing strategies for large-scale programs and ensure requirements traceability throughout the system development lifecycle.
• Create test plans, test scenarios, test cases, execute test cases, and document test results.
• Drive quality assurance processes and gain delivery buy-in from stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and Selenium frameworks or other similar Automation/SOA testing tools.
• Apply various testing techniques including Grey-box (logic-driven), Black-box (requirements-driven), load testing, coverage testing, and regression testing.
• Work within an Agile delivery model.
• Collaborate with Scrum Masters, SMEs, Test Leads, and Developers to understand design requirements and convert them into test cases.
• Author and execute manual test cases, and script automated test cases using Java or Python.

Requirements

• 3-6 years of experience performing testing activities.
• 1-3 years of experience developing testing strategies for large-scale programs and ensuring requirements traceability.
• 1-3 years of experience developing test plans, test scenarios, test cases, executing test cases, and documenting test results.
• 2 years of experience driving quality assurance processes and gaining stakeholder buy-in.
• 3 years of experience in test automation, including development and maintenance of automation scripts and Selenium frameworks or similar tools.
• Experience with Selenium and scripting using Java.
• Familiarity with the Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence/X-ray).
• Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.

Qualifications

• Combination of public sector domain experience (preferably eligibility-related), performance, and automation expertise is highly desirable.
