Automation Technician - Night Shift
About the role
The Automation Technician - Night Shift plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of production processes at Lilly's new manufacturing site in Concord, North Carolina. This position requires a high level of expertise in production processes, equipment performance, and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-line support to production processes
- Support area engineering initiatives and process improvements
- Perform mechanical repairs and adjustments
- Execute routine Preventive Maintenance Programs (PMs)
- Develop expertise in production processes, commissioning, qualification, and validation requirements
- Ensure equipment is maintained in a qualified state and operates safely
- Document actions taken to repair equipment in the CMMS program
- Assist in areas outside of primary responsibility and learn other skills as required
- Communicate effectively with all levels to ensure projects and repairs are well-planned and coordinated
- Implement tools for operations and engineering to learn and work more proficiently
- Create maintenance action plans as needed
- Participate in periodic reviews of equipment state
- Plan and execute small projects for process or equipment improvements or changes
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED
- Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- Background check and drug screening requirements
- Experience in instrumentation, PLC and/or HMI programming
- Experience in a GMP manufacturing environment
- Experience with Studio 5000 and Factorytalk View SE programming
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to quickly and accurately diagnose equipment problems and implement corrective actions
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer service attitude
- Maintain a safe work environment
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a GMP manufacturing environment
- Experience with Studio 5000 and Factorytalk View SE programming
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to quickly and accurately diagnose equipment problems and implement corrective actions
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Pay
The anticipated wage for this position is $21.27 - $46.88 per hour.
Schedule
This position will work a 12-hour, 2-2-3 schedule.
