Automation Technician III (Traveling 100%)

About the role

Automation Technician III (10x4 Traveling Schedule) at Niagara Bottling requires 4 years of experience in a field or similar manufacturing environment, with 4 years of experience in the position and up to 1 year of experience managing people/projects. The role involves working on the production floor with plant Automation technicians at Niagara facilities around the country, performing advanced troubleshooting, upgrades on production lines automation systems, and providing technical support.

Responsibilities

• Provide aid and expertise to plant maintenance and automation teams
• Aid in any needed repairs on production machinery, as necessary
• Perform root cause analysis for automated machine upgrades
• Research and develop innovative technologies for increased output and reducing labor
• Train and mentor plant Automation technicians
• Travel approximately 75% of the year

Requirements

• Proficiency in AB Automation software, Siemens Automation software, B&R system knowledge for troubleshooting, Microsoft Office applications
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated with a proven record of taking initiative
• Detail-oriented with excellent oral and written communication skills

• Sound judgment and ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce

Qualifications

• Minimum required: Associate's Degree in Engineering or other related field
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or other related field
