Automation Technician II

About the role

Full-time, non-exempt position in the Water Transfer business unit, reporting to the Operations Manager. Travel is required.

Select's Automation Technician II sets up, adjusts, and operates electrical and mechanical automation devices and systems.

Responsibilities

• Installs and repairs various automation equipment, including but not limited to level, pressure, flow, and communication devices
• Ensures high quality and adherence to standard operating procedure
• Provides training on-site and over the phone to field personnel for new processes and technologies
• Compiles and generates reports
• Drives trucks to transport equipment and perform job tasks

Requirements

• 2 to 4 years of related working experience required
• Must possess valid driver's license and be eligible to drive a company vehicle according to Select's insurance guidelines
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Physical demands

• Work regularly performed in outside weather conditions, including rain and extreme cold and heat, near moving mechanical parts
• Exposure to high wind, ice, snow, wet and/or humid conditions, vibration, and dust
• Exposure to noise levels requiring the use of hearing protection
• Prolonged sitting, standing, walking
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Ability to individually lift: maximum 50 lbs
• Position classified as safety-sensitive; requires strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations, regular safety training and assessments
