What You’ll Do
- Troubleshoot and maintain electrical and controls systems for production and high-speed packaging equipment
- Support extruders, dryers, conveying systems, cartoners, baggers, palletizers, utilities, HVAC, chillers, and compressed air systems
- Partner with Operations and Maintenance to resolve recurring issues and complete preventative maintenance
- Maintain PLC backups, schematics, and electrical documentation
- Modify and improve electrical and control systems in compliance with NEC standards
- Aid with capital projects and equipment installations
What We’re Looking For
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
- Ability to read, write, and speak English at a level necessary to perform the essential functions of the job
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills; ability to read wiring diagrams
- 2-year Electrical Technician degree or equivalent experience (apprenticeship, military training, or 3+ years hands-on electrical/controls experience)
- Willingness to obtain CPR certification
- Preferred Experience: Food manufacturing electrical and controls experience, Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, OSHA 10, Experience operating forklifts or lifts
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 50 lbs
- Stand 8+ hours per shift
- Climb ladders and work at heights up to 35 ft
- Work in hot, cold, humid, and dusty environments
