Automation Technician (12-Hour Nights)
Responsibilities
- Performs daily inspections and preventive maintenance on automation equipment.
- Troubleshoots mechanical, electrical, and automation-related issues.
- Completes repairs and supports automation-focused maintenance projects.
- Identifies improvement opportunities that support equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Safeguards automated systems to operate safely and meet production and quality standards.
- Handles and packages products according to established procedures.
- Maintains consistent, high-quality output from automated equipment.
- Communicates equipment status, issues, and improvement ideas with maintenance and production teams.
- Supports departmental goals and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by maintenance leadership.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in maintenance or automation maintenance.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with automation systems and manufacturing processes.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical documentation and equipment information.
- Proficient in computer skills for documentation and maintenance systems.
- Strong problem-solving, multitasking, and communication skills.
- Dependable, safety-focused, and committed to continuous improvement.
- Willing to participate in ongoing training and development.
- High school diploma or GED required.
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift up to 35 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and climb ladders.
- Comfortable working around oils, grease, inks, solvents, and high-noise environments.
- Has good manual dexterity and 20/20 corrected vision.
- Able to distinguish colors for troubleshooting and inspection.
- Demonstrates professionalism, teamwork, and a positive attitude.
Additional Information
Compensation: $29.75/hour + shift differential
Work Schedule: 7:00pm–7:00am following a 2-2-3 schedule (every other weekend off!)
