Automation Specialist, Senior

Audubon is seeking a senior-level Automation Specialist to lead the implementation of control systems and DCS/PLC/SCADA programming on Oil & Gas projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead system specification, design, architecture, and development for automation projects in a team environment
• Configure various automation systems (process control systems, safety instrumented systems, fire and gas systems), including development code, hardware specification, and graphics development/modification
• Understand plant processes in the Chemical, Oil, & Gas industry and basic unit operations to assist with conceptual design of process control strategies for modifications and expansions
• Implement code, conduct system simulation, provide operator training, and support commissioning
• Develop standards, procedures, training manuals, and other documentation for projects or internal use
• Lead a team and interface directly with customers
• Demonstrate expertise in Automation aspects, including PLC, HMI, DCS, SIS, Electrical Design, Instrumentation Design, and Industrial IT

Requirements

• B.S. in Engineering preferred
• 10+ years of related experience required
• Proven track record of leading automation projects (from conceptual through commissioning) within the Oil and Gas Industry
• Excellent teamwork, mentorship, and relationship management skills

Automation system training or certification is a plus.
