Automation Specialist

About the role

The Automation Specialist will design, develop, and deploy application solutions ranging from custom internal tools to fully deployed client on-premises and cloud solutions.

Responsibilities

• Participate in designing, coding, testing, debugging, configuring, and documenting software.
• Implement tools and techniques to increase programming efficiency and quality.
• Follow through with issues until resolved.

Requirements

• 1-3+ years’ experience in the implementation and programming of SCADA applications.
• Experience with ICONICS Genesis 64 (BridgeWorX, ReportWorX, AnalytiX) is required; other SCADA platforms (Wonderware System Platform, Ignition, ClearSCADA) are a plus.
• Solid understanding of programming fundamentals in SCADA.
• Front-end skills: HTML, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, AJAX.
• Back-end skills: Node.js, Python, or .NET.
• Experience with database schema design, data ingestion, and database access layers.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

Skills

• Modern languages: JavaScript/React, Python, HTML5, CSS3, Node.js, .NET.
• Cloud services: AWS (Lambda, Fargate, DynamoDB, Timestream, S3, SNS, API Gateway) or Azure is a plus.
• Responsive web design and programming (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript).
• Additional technologies: AngularJS, .NET framework.
