About the role

We are hiring Automation Service Engineers at all experience levels to support and expand our growing industrial automation service organization. Whether you are early in your automation career or a seasoned controls expert, this is an opportunity to work hands-on with cutting-edge systems while supporting manufacturers across diverse industries.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve issues in industrial automation and control systems
  • Modify, enhance, and support PLC, HMI, and related control platforms
  • Perform system upgrades, preventative maintenance, and on-site service calls
  • Serve as a trusted technical resource for customers on-site
  • Communicate clearly with customers regarding service progress, issues, and solutions
  • Collaborate with internal engineering, project, and field teams
  • Build long-term customer relationships through responsiveness and technical excellence
  • Complete accurate service reports, programming documentation, and recommendations
  • Identify opportunities for system improvements and value-added solutions
  • Stay current with evolving automation technologies and industry best practices
  • Proactively identify and eliminate hazards before and during service work
  • Follow all safety procedures and promote a zero-incident culture
  • Participate in required safety training and continuous safety improvement efforts

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Strong safety mindset and personal integrity
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

Qualifications

  • Technical degree or vocational training in automation, electrical, or related field
  • Experience with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, motor controls, sensors, and industrial networks
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar
  • Experience in manufacturing, material handling, processing, or logistics environments

Skills

  • Hands-on service and technical skill development
  • Advanced troubleshooting and system modifications
  • Project scoping, estimates, and mentoring junior engineers
  • Leading complex troubleshooting, system design, and business development
  • Mentoring engineers and guiding technical standards
