About the Role
This position leads automation projects to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency in manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement automation and capital equipment, including robotics and sensors.
- Manage project lifecycle from concept to commissioning, including specifications, testing, validation, and documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to deliver innovative automation solutions.
- Provide troubleshooting support, analyze failures, and improve equipment reliability.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and standardization, leveraging data for continuous improvement.
- Mentor engineering and maintenance staff as a subject matter expert.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, or related engineering field with 6-8 years of automation experience.
- Proven project leadership in manufacturing automation, strong problem-solving, and collaborative skills.
- Familiarity with safety standards, automation technologies, and manufacturing environments; preferred experience with SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed.
