Automation Production Engineer

About the Role

This role supports Electric Motor programs within the xEV Regional Production Engineering team, focusing on establishing specifications, equipment, and processes for electric motor manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee manufacturing equipment for electric motor production.
• Ensure production reliability, quality, and equipment verification for mass production.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables.
• Collaborate with process, design, quality assurance, and maintenance teams to implement best practices.
• Optimize costs and drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.

Requirements

• Broad engineering expertise in automation, control systems, robotics, and manufacturing processes.
• Proven experience in setting up new production lines, preferably in automotive or EV motor production.
• Knowledge of quality standards such as IATF 16949, DFMEA, PFMEA, and control plans.
• Strong problem-solving skills (Six Sigma certification preferred).
• Ability to handle multiple projects and work independently.
• Familiarity with test systems, safety protocols, and electric vehicle components.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects and implementing new manufacturing processes.
