Responsibilities
- Safely operate and monitor warehouse automation machine center(s), including any GUIs (Graphic User Interfaces), to ensure efficiency.
- Perform an initial inspection of equipment at the start of each shift.
- Perform necessary and required sanitation, quality assurance checks, and ensure that equipment and tanks are clean and free of debris and foreign objects.
- Maintain records/logs and complete all paperwork/documentation associated with start-up, operation(including downtime), and shut-down activities.
- Maintain a clean work area through good housekeeping practices and adhere to all safety standards.
- Perform preventative, predictive, and autonomous maintenance on equipment as required.
- Know, understand, and complete all centerlines (CL) and clean, inspect, and lubrication (CIL) points for all equipment each shift.
- Keep machines loaded with materials, troubleshoot and address equipment stop conditions when needed, expediting repairs to machine centers by working closely with maintenance as necessary.
- Adjust equipment settings as required to optimize efficiency and maximize case output.
- Perform miscellaneous tasks throughout equipment and warehouse areas, including facility grounds.
- Ensure finished product and completed pallet quality.
- Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed.
- Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- At least 2 years of previous production line or automation experience in a manufacturing or warehousing industry (preferably bottling or food) are preferred.
- Able to lift 20-45 pounds on a continuous basis.
- Maintain regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
- Capable of a combination of continuous standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and grasping.
- Analytical, technologically competent, and mechanically inclined.
- Possess good oral and written communication, analytical, and mechanical skills.
- Experience with pallets and pallet handling (e.g., operating a forklift, stacking/bundling product, etc.).
- Preferred: Experience with high-speed machinery and equipment (e.g., high output, high performance equipment, fast paced production environment, warehouse automation environment, etc.).
- Preferred: Experience operating a palletizer (e.g., building pallets, managing pallet changeovers, etc.).
- Preferred: Experience with computers in a manufacturing setting (e.g., electronic settings, machine speed, gauge pressures, basic troubleshooting, solving for faults/alarms, and resetting equipment, etc.).
- Preferred: Experience with sanitization (e.g., basic procedures/steps, food safety practices, identifying risks).
- Preferred: Experience with minor mechanical repairs (e.g., jams, using tools, making basic adjustments to equipment, etc.).
- Preferred: Experience with preventative maintenance.
