Automation Maintenance Tech
About the role
Ryder is seeking a Permanent Full Time AGV Technician for Warehouse Positions. This position offers a weekly pay rate of $32.00 per hour with a shift differential of $1.00 on night shifts. The schedule is Wednesday through Saturday, 6 pm to 6 am, with overtime opportunities available.
Responsibilities
- Ensure PM entries into software are complete and accurate
- Utilizes the computerized maintenance management systems to their fullest potential
- Maintain and ensure spare parts inventories and/or consignment inventories are being maintained consistent with procedures
- Participate in the continual development and improvement of maintenance policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures for the facility
- Ensure a clean and organized maintenance area
- Facility always tour ready
- Absolutely comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Establishes work schedules that meet the demands of operating and PM programs
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Actively participate in safety and Lean programs; support the Ryder culture
Requirements
- Vocational or Technical certification in related field or 3 years of relevant experience (in lieu of certification)
- Intermediate knowledge of 480 volts and pneumatic equipment
- Intermediate knowledge of computer-based equipment maintenance and parts inventory systems
- Demonstrated independent problem-solving capability
- Intermediate knowledge of PLC and HMI Programming software (Allen Bradley, Ignition, Wonderware preferred)
- Intermediate understanding of 24VDC Control systems, photoelectric & proximity sensors
- Intermediate experience with programming/troubleshooting Servo and Stepper motors and related software
- Intermediate ability to troubleshoot/program Bar Code Scanners and other Vision Systems (Specifically Cognex, Datalogic, Keyence, etc.)
- Intermediate understanding of Warehouse Maintenance safety procedures (Lock Out Tag Out, Fall Restraint, and Forklift/MHE Operational Safety)
- Intermediate knowledge of operating MHE (Forklift, Scissor Lift, Boom Lift, etc.)
- Ability to work independently in a safe manner including working at heights
- Intermediate knowledge of operating MHE (Forklift, Scissor Lift, Boom Lift, etc.)
- Knowledge of operating MHE to include by not limited to: Forklift, Scissor Lift, Boom Lift, etc.

Qualifications
We prefer candidates with a vocational or technical certification in a related field or 3 years of relevant experience. Intermediate knowledge of 480 volts and pneumatic equipment is required.
