About The Role

At Armavel, a people-first team focused on delivering meaningful impact for federal customers, we seek an Automation Integration Developer. You will translate IT and cybersecurity needs into architectural patterns and design standards, driving measurable outcomes for the VA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement automations using AI-enabled solutions in a Federal environment.
  • Analyze existing manual processes, SOPs, reports, and data sets to identify automation opportunities.
  • Develop end-to-end automation workflows using Power Automate, Office Scripts, PowerShell, Python, and emerging AI/ML capabilities.
  • Translate customer needs into technical solutions and repeatable design standards for cybersecurity automation.
  • Perform data and system integrations between SaaS products.
  • Evaluate data quality and perform data transformation/cleansing for automated processes.
  • Act as a technical advisor, bridging customer needs with engineering solutions.
  • Familiarize with customer's technical environment; serve as a central point of contact between agency and internal resources.
  • Continuously experiment and bring forward new ideas to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or equivalent.
  • 10+ years relevant work experience.
  • 5+ years in system analysis, data extraction, and integration planning.
  • Hands-on experience with Power Automate, Office Scripts, PowerShell, Python scripting for automating Excel, PDFs, and structured/unstructured data.
  • Experience with data/system integrations between SaaS products.
  • Experience with ServiceNow IRM/GRC/Audit modules (engagements and evidence collection).
  • Strong ability to analyze workflows and design automation strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills; collaborative mindset with curiosity to learn.
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
  • Nice to have: Advanced SQL knowledge (table optimization, stored procedures), Experience applying AI/ML to automation/data workflows (NLP, intelligent document processing, anomaly detection), Familiarity with DataBricks, Experience guiding workstreams or mentoring, Experience working within VA or other federal agencies.
