Automation Generalist Dayshift

About the role

As an Automatic Case Pick (ACP) Generalist you will remove cases from full pallets and place, by layer, onto trays in the automated case pick system in the receiving area. You will also operate robots, clear faults, and assure pallet integrity within the shipping area. This position supports C&S Wholesale Grocers’ mission to keep communities fed.

Responsibilities

• Remove cases from full pallets and place them by layers onto the trays located in the Automated Case Pick System.
• Confirm accuracy of product while maintaining production levels and quality.
• Inspect and ensure the stability of product on pallets.
• Stand, bend, pull, lift, and pivot continuously throughout the shift.
• Walk between 6–12 miles per day on various surfaces (concrete, tile, carpet, etc.).
• Frequent lifting of product weighing 1–60 lb or more, from floor to overhead.
• Work on multiple levels of varying height and safely handle sharp objects, including box‑cutting tools.

Qualifications

• Attendance and reliability.
• General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or High School Diploma.
• Demonstrated initiative, productivity, quality focus, safety awareness, and alignment with company values.
• Ability to work the 1st shift schedule.

Pay

$17.00 per hour

Schedule

• Full‑time, 1st shift.
• Three 12‑hour shifts: 5 am – 5 pm.
• One 6‑hour shift on Wednesdays (alternating between Sunday‑Tuesday or Thursday‑Saturday).

Work Environment

Grocery (dry goods) environment with temperatures ranging from approximately 50 °F to 90 °F.
