Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement automated manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and product quality.
  • Use PLC, robotics, and mechanical and electrical systems to retrofit machines and improve production lines.
  • Interpret and read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics to understand and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Use SolidWorks and ARM tools for mechanical design and Skycad for electrical design.
  • Read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Develop and maintain control systems using Studio 5000 and RSLogix.
  • Use Mapware, Fanuc, Roboguide, Arburg, and HMI to enhance manufacturing processes.
  • Work closely with other engineers and production staff to ensure the smooth operation of automated systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of automation systems to minimize downtime.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on the operation and maintenance of new systems.

Requirements

  • A minimum of an Associate's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably in plastics, silicone, or rubber.
  • Proven experience with PLC, robotics, and electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Experience in mechanical design using SolidWorks and ARM tools.
  • Experience in electrical design using Skycad.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
  • Familiarity with controls and experience using Studio 5000 and RSLogix.
  • Experience with Mapware, Fanuc, Roboguide, Arburg, and HMI.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and guide staff.

Pay

$110,000 - $130,000 per year
