Manufacturing Engineer - Automation

About the Role

A Senior Manufacturing Engineer responsible for leading process improvement projects and Kaizen events to eliminate waste and enhance manufacturing efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design and program PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and HMIs for automated machinery.
• Troubleshoot and maintain automation systems.
• Develop SCADA solutions and integrate them with plant systems.
• Design control panels and electrical schematics.
• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical teams for seamless system integration.
• Support project management, employee training, and process analysis to align with strategic manufacturing goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience, preferably in storage components, servers, or hard drive industry.
• Hands-on experience with PLC programming (Ladder Logic, Structured Text).
• Proficiency with SCADA/HMI platforms (e.g., Wonderware, Ignition).
• Knowledge of robotics, sensors, VFDs, servos, electrical controls, and instrumentation.
• Understanding of network protocols (Modbus, OPC UA, Ethernet/IP).
• Familiarity with tools such as LabVIEW, Python, RSLogix, and PID control systems.
