About the role

Clients Finance Innovation Hub is seeking a Forward Deployed Automation Developer to join our team. This role involves embedding AI capabilities within Finance functions, focusing on practical solutions that streamline processes and ensure compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and deploy AI-enabled workflows that address real operational needs across Finance functions such as Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Audit, and Procurement.
• Work closely with Finance teams to translate business needs into technical solutions, ensuring that the solutions are auditable, maintainable, and transferable.
• Implement governance measures, including guardrails, fallback behaviors, and human-in-the-loop logic, to ensure compliance and audit readiness.
• Develop stable data pipelines and integrate relevant datasets into extensible systems that power reliable automation.
• Collaborate with internal architects on design decisions, debug issues directly with stakeholders, and document technical decisions with intent for future reference.
• Participate in the oncall rotation for month-end and quarter-end close activities, including after-hours and weekend support as needed.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering skills in Python, SQL, and API development.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML models, LLMs, or intelligent automation frameworks.
• Working knowledge of data pipelines and integration patterns that move data reliably between systems.
• Understanding of enterprise controls and audit requirements.
• Track record of breaking down business challenges into structured, repeatable technical solutions.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical tradeoffs, design choices, and risks in plain language.
• Proven ability to operate in time-sensitive environments with production uptime impacting Finance reporting deadlines.
• A reliability mindset: build with supportability in mind and take ownership when systems need attention.

Qualifications

• Experience with Meta's technology stack is preferred but not required.
• Prior experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Technical Consultant, or similar embedded-builder role is preferred.
• Domain experience in Finance, Audit, or regulated industries is preferred but not required.
