Job Description
Designs, programs, simulates, and tests automated machinery to streamline manufacturing processes.
Uses design techniques to build automated systems such as measurement functions, control functions, and actuators, etc.
Considers automation workflow, production layout, and safety measures when designing automated machinery processes.
Audits current equipment and automated processes to determine failure rates.
Captures quality control objectives and activities to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, and minimize cost.
Drafts and designs detailed documentation for design specifications and additional relevant documents.
Adheres to international and local regulatory standards for design, process, and safety considerations.
Essential Qualifications
Proficient with Microsoft office.
Experience in use of ERP Systems, preferably IQMS.
Must be well organized and detail oriented with an emphasis on accuracy.
Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to others.
May act as a lead or first-level supervisor.
Leverage Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma background/knowledge is preferred.
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree and 6+ years of Automation Engineering experience.
Previous plastic injection molding experience.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Desirable Qualifications
Experience within the medical device industry.
