Job Description

  • Designs, programs, simulates, and tests automated machinery to streamline manufacturing processes.

  • Uses design techniques to build automated systems such as measurement functions, control functions, and actuators, etc.

  • Considers automation workflow, production layout, and safety measures when designing automated machinery processes.

  • Audits current equipment and automated processes to determine failure rates.

  • Captures quality control objectives and activities to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, and minimize cost.

  • Drafts and designs detailed documentation for design specifications and additional relevant documents.

  • Adheres to international and local regulatory standards for design, process, and safety considerations.

Essential Qualifications

  • Proficient with Microsoft office.

  • Experience in use of ERP Systems, preferably IQMS.

  • Must be well organized and detail oriented with an emphasis on accuracy.

  • Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to others.

  • May act as a lead or first-level supervisor.

  • Leverage Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma background/knowledge is preferred.

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree and 6+ years of Automation Engineering experience.

  • Previous plastic injection molding experience.

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
