About the role
A highly skilled Automation Engineer is needed to join our dynamic team at Skellig. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation, process control, and project management. This role requires someone who can design, implement, and maintain complex automation systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement automation solutions for pharmaceutical processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, technicians, and project managers
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Perform system testing and validation to ensure system performance meets requirements
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing systems
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of automation processes and technologies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in automation, process control, and project management
- Proficiency in automation software such as Rockwell, Siemens, or similar
- Experience with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers)
- Strong understanding of industrial automation principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
