Automation Engineer

About the Role
The Program Technical Office (PTO) is responsible for the automation philosophy, program technical standards, and ensuring consistency throughout the projects. During project execution, the PTO supports and provides oversight to individual project teams. This multidisciplined group covers Automation Software, Automation Hardware, Digital Plant, and CSV. The Automation Engineer will work with the various PTO Engineering Leads and Technical Manager to develop and maintain documents and/or software deliverables necessary to support the program.
Responsibilities
- Contribute technically to supporting the various workstreams within the PTO.
- Work closely with the associated PTO workstream lead to achieve desired short- and long-term outcomes.
- With supervision from the PTO Engineering Lead, define the software components that need to be created or modified.
- Support the development of PTO deliverables.
- Provide technical consulting and support to the individual project teams.
- Interface with other disciplines and stakeholders to ensure PTO deliverables meet business needs.
- Maintain compliance with training requirements.
Requirements
- BS in Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of Automation experience.
- 3+ years’ experience in DeltaV Batch DCS.
- Exceptional teamwork abilities.
- Strong knowledge of GMP’s, regulatory requirements, and computer system validation principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in the delivery of large Automation Projects in the Pharmaceutical Industry.
- Majority of experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry.
- Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems.
- Experience with scripting/AI.
Schedule
Remote, with travel 1 week monthly to Indiana.
