About the role

This role focuses on driving continuous improvement and integrating technical engineering principles within electrical and process automation systems to achieve high-level operational results.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of new standards, structures, and systems for process automation.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in products and production efficiency through advanced technical analysis.
  • Act as an advisory coach to production and maintenance teams regarding automated manufacturing processes.
  • Maximize existing technologies and implement new solutions to enhance steelmaking process areas.
  • Coordinate improvement activities with department superintendents and plant management to ensure operational effectiveness.

Requirements

  • A four-year college degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment with exposure to factory automation.
  • Extensive knowledge of manufacturing methods involving heavy mill machinery and related equipment.
  • Proven experience in scrap processing, melting, casting, rolling, or finishing operations.
  • Strong ability to train and coach employees combined with solid presentation and organizational skills.
