About the role
This role focuses on driving continuous improvement and integrating technical engineering principles within electrical and process automation systems to achieve high-level operational results.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of new standards, structures, and systems for process automation.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in products and production efficiency through advanced technical analysis.
- Act as an advisory coach to production and maintenance teams regarding automated manufacturing processes.
- Maximize existing technologies and implement new solutions to enhance steelmaking process areas.
- Coordinate improvement activities with department superintendents and plant management to ensure operational effectiveness.
Requirements
- A four-year college degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment with exposure to factory automation.
- Extensive knowledge of manufacturing methods involving heavy mill machinery and related equipment.
- Proven experience in scrap processing, melting, casting, rolling, or finishing operations.
- Strong ability to train and coach employees combined with solid presentation and organizational skills.
