The Role
Serve as the site expert for maintaining critical automation systems that support operations. Maintain and troubleshoot material handling control systems, including PLC/PC controllers and industrial networks. Monitor equipment performance metrics, partnering with maintenance and operations to address issues and provide analysis. Provide first-level escalation support for site technicians, both locally and remotely. Perform and analyze building system assessments to enhance material handling system performance.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, automation engineering, or equivalent, or 2+ years of PLC programming or automation engineering experience
- Experience in PLC-based controls design, development, implementation, and support
- Experience with Ladder Logic and structured programming for PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or Codesys)
- Experience with industrial control systems, both hardware and software
- Experience with material handling, flow, and capacity concepts
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and holidays
