Automation Engineer

Position: Senior Manager, Cross Cutting Integration Location: Charlotte, NC - 5 day onsite Type: Full Time Pay Range: $190k - $230k/Annum Day-to-day Responsibilities: Lead and align cross-functional engineering teams across ECU diagnostics (UDS, DoIP), OTA updates, and vehicle cybersecurity to enforce release quality gates and sign off on vehicle integration builds for program milestones. Oversee vehicle-side OTA update integration, multi-ECU update orchestration, failure recovery ("no-brick" guarantees), and end-to-end alignment with cloud/backend and manufacturing EOL flashing teams. Lead the implementation and validation of vehicle security protocols—including secure boot, secure flashing, encryption, and authentication—ensuring full compliance with standards like ISO 21434. Own end-to-end validation strategy across SIL/HIL and vehicle-level testing, driving root cause analysis for complex issues and supporting war-room activities during DV/PV builds. Track, release, and optimize functional quality metrics (flash success rates, defect leakage, bus load margins) while validating ECU wake/sleep strategies, power state transitions, and parasitic current draw. Must Haves: 10-12+ years of experience with vehicle E/E architecture and ECU level software stacks Experience utilizing CAN, LIN, FlexRay, and Ethernet UDS diagnostic tools (ISO 14229) and communication tools Expert knowledge of Jira, GiftHub/GiftLab, Jenkins, and Artifactory. ALM/PLM Proficiency in Siemens Polarion, DOORS Next Gen, or PTC Windchill.
