Automation Controls Technician III - Electrical & Automation

About the role

The Automation Controls Technician III - Electrical & Automation position at Pillar Innovations offers a dynamic environment where you can apply your skills to innovative automation projects. You'll work on a variety of custom electromechanical equipment, control panels, robotics, and vision systems, collaborating with a team of engineers and project managers.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation of conduit and wire, tubing, sensors, etc.
• Wire a variety of electrical control panels, motors, and other devices
• Calibrate various instrumentation such as pressure sensors, load cells, flow meters, etc.
• Interpret and mark up (as needed) electrical drawings and documentation for custom machines, systems, and products
• Configure controls components
• Evaluate inventory and collaborate with Purchasing as needed to order proper materials, components, and tools for projects to ensure availability for assigned jobs
• Provide troubleshooting to follow a problem to the source and solve the issue

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive experience in electrical, controls, automation, or robotics
• Electrical Journeyman License in MD or WV required
• Valid driver’s license required
• MSHA Electrical card required or willingness to obtain within a year
• Experience reading and interpreting manuals and electrical drawings required
• Willing and able to perform hands-on work related to programming and automation controls
• Experience in marking up (i.e. 'red lining') electrical drawings
• Leadership experience preferred with focus on leading jobs

• USD $27.00/Hr.
• USD $32.00/Hr.

Schedule

• Flexible schedule with occasional travel, overnights, and overtime
