Automation Controls Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment and automation systems.
• Diagnose and address equipment failures, control system alarms, instrumentation issues, and process disruptions.
• Support aseptic and pharmaceutical filling operations by maintaining and optimizing equipment performance.
• Perform troubleshooting and maintenance of safety circuits, instrumentation circuits, sensors, transmitters, motors, VFDs, and control panels.
• Monitor automation system performance and identify opportunities for increased reliability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality teams to quickly resolve production issues.
• Support preventative maintenance activities and assist with system improvements and upgrades.
• Ensure all activities are performed in compliance with GMP, safety, and site procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience troubleshooting PLC-based automation and control systems.
• Experience supporting pharmaceutical, biotech, or aseptic manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation, sensors, transmitters, motors, VFDs, and industrial control systems.
• Experience troubleshooting safety circuits and instrumentation circuits.
• Hands-on experience with Rockwell Automation platforms.
• Experience working with ControlLogix PLC systems.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Automation Technician to support pharmaceutical manufacturing operations by providing hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance of automation systems and production equipment. This role will be responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting critical filling operations within a GMP-regulated environment.

Shift

Rotating 2-2-3 Schedule (12-Hour Shifts): Day Shift - 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Night Shift - 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
