About the role

The Automation Engineer will be part of the Automation team at ESCO Group, contributing as a technical resource for client projects with a basic understanding of PLC and HMI processes. This role involves working alongside multi-disciplined engineers to design and implement industrial automation solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the design and implementation of industrial automation projects to improve operational efficiency, productivity, and quality.
  • Assist with the design, programming, and configuration of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and human-machine interface (HMI) systems to control and monitor industrial processes.
  • Perform modifications on existing display objects and templates.
  • Learn and understand the flow of industrial processes.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team to understand client industrial processes and automation requirements.
  • Perform necessary modifications on existing programs and identify potential conflicts for resolution.
  • Perform delegated work onsite at the direction of the Project Manager or Project Lead.
  • Travel to client sites to implement, test, and commission automation systems.
