Automation Controls Engineer

As a Controls Engineer at our Williamsport siding manufacturing facility, you will lead projects that enhance the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our operations while providing critical support for day-to-day production needs. This highly visible role offers the opportunity to manage projects from concept through implementation, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and make meaningful technical decisions that directly impact equipment performance, product quality, and customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties
- Provide engineering project management with detailed timelines
- Cover the design, construction, fabrication, installation, start-up and modification of plant facilities, equipment, and systems
- Ensure success – utilize cross-functional team approach, ensuring lines of communication to all affected parties are open and dialogue is free flowing
- Provide complete start-to-finish management of both capital and non-capital projects
- Provide general engineering support as needed to support day-to-day business needs
IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with automation controls in a manufacturing environment required
- Minimum 2 years of project management experience required
Pay and Benefits
Pay Information: CertainTeed provides a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support employees' wellbeing and improve daily life for themselves and their families. The national pay range for this position is $92,000 to $142,000 per year, with a targeted bonus of 12% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range for this position is $103,040 to $159,040 per year. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and are not a guarantee.
