Your mission, roles and responsibilitiesOverall responsibilities and duties:The Controls Engineer will provide controls and electrical engineering support to the assigned UAP cell and maintenance efforts. They will become an expert to assist maintenance in supporting the plant UAP through trouble shooting and problem-solving methodologies. They will aim to eliminate down time and decrease quality defects to the customers. They will be required to write, create, and modify programs to meet the plant objectives. The main missions of the role are:o Provide controls and manufacturing engineering support to assigned UAP areas and plant wide initiativeso Provide support to the Quality Department and Quality Engineer as requiredo Provide support to the Maintenance Department in equipment trouble shooting to reduce and eliminate downtimeo Review processes and procedures on an on-going basis for safety, quality and production efficiencyo Assist in other UAP support as assignedo Participate in Hoshin and Continuous Improvement events as assignedo Participate as TS16949 and/or ISO 14001 Internal Audits as assigned Specific Responsibilities:o Coordinate with Maintenance to minimize down-timeo Maintain PFMEA and all downstream documents for minor changeso Provide input into PFMEA generation for new programso Provide justification for standards changeso QRQC’s – supporting quality for customer issueso Provide and update parts drawing (mechanical and electrical) to maintenanceo Provide input into EO meetingso 5-S of planto Provide justification of major purchases for Core Group to managero Stay informed of environmental aspectso Follow procedures and work to eliminate or reduce the PFMEA ratings as relates to position and/or departmento Stay informed of quality issues and opportunities related to position and/or departmento Follow procedures and corrective actions to eliminate or reduce PPM’so Complete all other duties and tasks as assigned management Your profile and competencies to succeedQualificationsThe ideal candidate will have/be:Minimum education level: Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Technical Discipline; or 5 years of experience as a Manufacturing EngineerExperience:o Must have manufacturing experienceo Automotive Experience, preferablyo AutoCAD – electrical and mechanical; Allen Bradley software and programming experience Skills and competencies:o Ability to troubleshoot PLC programso Experience leading and managing automation of a manufacturing processo Knowledge and expertise on automation tools and machinery/technologieso Cultivates Innovationo Optimizes Work Processeso Collaborates well with otherso Open-mindedness, Drive, Accountabilityo Excellent communications skillso Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Faurecia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management
