Summary

Ranpak is seeking an assembler to assemble and test automated packaging solutions. Responsibilities include assembling mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components, following project schedules, and collaborating with various departments.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Reading and following assembly drawings and instructions
  • Assembling, squaring, and aligning sub-assemblies and structural components
  • Installing sub-assemblies on main frames according to drawings and instruction manuals
  • Mounting, connecting, and adjusting pneumatic components
  • Installing and aligning conveyance systems
  • Reading and wiring according to electrical schematics
  • Laying out diagrams for electrical installations according to wiring specifications
  • Mounting and wiring electrical components including motors, sensors, actuators, robotic arms, etc.
  • Modifying components according to engineering requests
  • Drilling, tapping holes, cutting slots, cutting parts, opening holes, grinding surfaces, re-wiring, and changing electrical components
  • Reporting issues to supervisor, engineering, and quality team
  • Testing and adjusting mechanical and electrical assemblies following instructions and checklists
  • Running equipment and helping with FAT (Final Acceptance Test)
  • Collaborating with the service department to install equipment on customer sites
  • Following project schedules and keeping track of production order schedules
  • Reporting issues to scheduling supervisor
  • Accurate control of inventory using production orders
  • Collaborating with inventory for maintaining all needed parts for the project
  • Navigate to inventory, project, and file management systems
  • Must have Forklift Operation training or willingness to obtain training
  • Other duties as assigned by manager

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • GED
  • Technical school training in Industrial Electronics, Schematics, or Blueprints helpful but not required
  • Ability to lift 50-80 pounds

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
