About the role
This position involves assembling machine parts according to instructions and within a specific timeframe, adhering to safety and quality standards. Duties include reading and following blueprints, training colleagues, performing quality checks, identifying defects, and maintaining a clean workspace.
Responsibilities
- Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to assemble and wire Automation equipment.
- Train other employees on building subsections of Automation equipment.
- Perform quality work checks to ensure products meet quality standards.
- Identify and document product defects.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Make necessary adjustments to ensure factory settings and specifications using schematics and engineering documentation.
- Lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- May be required to climb up to 16' feet tall using a safety harness or ladder.
- Work beyond normal business hours as needed.
- Support company policies and procedures, goals, and objectives.
- Adhere to safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Communicate and enforce corporate environmental, health, and safety programs.
- Fill out forms as needed.
Requirements
- Must be able to work unsupervised at times.
- Must be able to speak English during emergencies and while performing job duties.
- Must be able to work 4-5 days a week at the assigned facility location.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted, daily.
- Must be able to walk and stand on cement flooring throughout a 10-hour shift.
- Must be able to use fine motor skills to tighten bolts and wire.
- Must be able to bend, lift, pull, push, grasp, twist at the waist, reach above the head, reach outward, and kneel.
Qualifications
- Sit down forklift and overhead crane operation is preferred.
- Must be able to use the metric system.
- Must be a good communicator and listener.
- Must be able to use hand and power tools.
- Must have previous heavy equipment/machinery assembly experience.
- Must know metric measurements.
Skills
- Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to use critical thinking and reasoning to solve problems.
- Ability to communicate and enforce corporate environmental, health, and safety programs.

Hourly rate of $20.00-$22.00

Monday - Friday, 6:45am - 3:30pm
